At this time we took it to a Suzuki dealership and the mechanic there disassembled the lever assembly at the gearbox and replaced a part: 25541-79J20-000 (LEVER GEAR SHIFT AND SELECTOR). This problem was caused by poor design of the gear change cable retaining clip. Even the Suzuki mechanic was a bit surprised having never encountered any need to replace this part before.
I’m very pedantic regarding the fluid changes and other maintenance and I’ve never had a problem.

One of the main problems on the Liana is with the gear selection.
